Overview:
  • A true, general service, braided PTFE pump or valve packing for many types of rotary and reciprocating services.
  • Every fiber in the SYNTHEPAK® material is completely impregnated with a proprietary Garlock manufacturing process. All internal voids are filled, eliminating the dry centers left by other packing treatments. A carefully applied snow-white petrolatum eases start-up.
  • Through a special Garlock manufacturing process, PTFE is applied to the yarn both prior to and after its braiding. SYNTHEPAK® packing treated in this manner eliminates fry centers left by other packing treatments. In addition, a high-temperature surface lubricant provides faster start-up.
  • Style 8922 is a general service packing that is a natural choice for many types of rotary and reciprocating motion services in today's marketplace.
  • This style can handle mild and corrosive acids, moderate alkalies, most gases, petroleum and synthetic oils, aromatic and aliphatic solvents.
