Overview:
  • A true, general service, braided PTFE pump or valve packing for many types of rotary and reciprocating services.
  • Every fiber in the Synthepak® material is completely impregnated with a proprietary Garlock manufacturing process. All internal voids are filled, eliminating the dry centers left by other packing treatments. A carefully applied snow-white petrolatum eases start-up. Graphite and petrolatum, plus a proprietary high temperature lubricant, permeate every fiber of this Synthepak packing. Optimum leakage control is achieved by a coating that levels the surface and increases the sealing contact.
  • Style 8913 is well-suited for rotary and centrifugal pump shafts, and can handle mild acids and alkalies, air and dry industrial gases, petroleum, and water and salt solutions.
